McBride Leads Team and Conference

Centurion Clay Target team wraps up another great week for trap and skeet.

The trap team finished with a team score of 227 of 250 targets. Freshman, Jack McBride, led the team with 48 targets in week 4. He shot a perfect 25-straight in the second round. This helped McBride tie for first place within the conference in week 4. Drake Syrjala followed Jack with a total score of 47 targets recorded, where he also recorded a 25-straight in the second round. Chase Merritt shot 24 in round one and 22 in round two, totaling 46 targets. Azariah Trumble finished with a total score of 45 and Evan Plonka finished 41.

The skeet team recorded a total score of 198 of 250 targets in week 4. Jack McBride led the skeet squad with 43 targets, recording is personal best. Drake Syrjala followed closely behind crushing 42 targets, shooting 21 in both rounds. Evan Plonka recorded 41 total targets for the day. Chase Merritt was the fourth ranking shooter for the team shooting 37 targets and Azariah Trumble finished with 35 targets as the fifth ranking shooter. 

Both teams look to wrap up the regular season next week in the final week of recording scores. After that, they travel to multiple of tournaments against teams across the midwest.
